infinitesurf: Top 20 | Juniors | Number 1: John John Florence DOB: October 17, 1992 Hometown: North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii John John is a phenom. He excels in every condition, making him a threat to win in every event he gets the urge to enter. He kills it in everything. He came onto the scene when he began charging out in his backyard of Pipeline, paddling into waves as a tiny grom that most adults wouldn’t. John John has the most unique style on tour these days from his skating influence. He’s proved he can surf maxed out Pipe (winning the Volcom Pipe Pro twice in a row), huge gnarly waves (winning 6-star Margaret River and Vans Triple Crown Sunset Beach), small beach breaks. He blew minds with his recent video parts, and he will continue to do so as he gets more experience. He’s just won his first WCT event in Rio, and don’t be surprised if he wins a lot more in the upcoming years. John John is a world title threat, whether it be this year or the next twenty.
